Helping Out Volunteers: Big Brothers Big Sisters mentors wanted

Big Brothers Big Sisters is in need of volunteers. It is a one-to-one mentoring program for children ages 5-18. They are looking for adult mentors to help children in Lee, Glades, Hendry and Charlotte counties. Call RSVP of Lee County at 275-1881 ext. 203 for details.
• Volunteers are needed by the Dr. Piper Center for Social Services Inc. Opportunities include being a senior companion for frail, elderly clients; foster grandparents to tutor and mentor children; assistance with events, newsletters and publications. The new Explorer Post is looking for young people 14-20 years old to become involved with the Community Connections Initiative (Intergenerational Programs).
