FORT MYERS, Fla. - Two local moms are flying to Los Angeles to be featured on the nationally televised event "Stand Up 2 Cancer." Tuesday, they'll do something that will turn heads and raise awareness for this devastating disease.

Caleb Whan and Julian Avery are two little boys whose lives were taken too soon by Cancer. Caleb loved Spiderman. Julian reigned as king of his house.
"The boys push us," Julian's mother Mimi Avery said. "They're what keeps us going."
Mimi Avery and Caleb's mother Monique Whan share an eternal bond and a commitment to finding a cure. "When you have other families that go through what you go through, it's like a connection that you just cant explain," Monique said.
Through chemo and radiation, the boys lost their hair. They didn't have a choice. But Monique and Mimi do have a choice, and they're using their heads to raise awareness. "When we shaved our heads last year, to me,that was the best awareness tool I've ever had. People asked about it. They thought we were going through treatment so you can tell your story that way too," Mimi said.
